What is temp mail?
Temp mail (temporary email) is a short-lived email address you can use instead of your real one. Mailiffy creates one for you instantly: you can receive messages for a limited time, then the address and its messages are deleted.
Is Mailiffy really free?
Yes. Creating a temporary email address, receiving emails, and reading your inbox are free. No account or payment is required.
How long do emails stay?
Each inbox starts with a 10 minute timer, and you can add 10 minutes at a time up to 60 minutes in total. When the timer ends, the address and all of its messages are deleted from our database.
Can I use this for multiple accounts?
You can generate a new disposable email address whenever you need one. Creating a new address deletes the previous inbox. Always follow the rules of the service you sign up for.
Is my data safe?
Messages are shown in a sandboxed frame with scripts and remote images blocked, and inboxes are deleted when they expire. Anyone who knows an address can send mail to it, so avoid sensitive messages, banking, or accounts you need to recover later.
What domains do you support?
Every address uses our own domain, @mailiffy.online.
Can I get a custom domain?
Custom domains and upgrades are not available yet. Mailiffy currently uses @mailiffy.online.
Can I send emails from Mailiffy?
No. Mailiffy is receive-only. You can read incoming messages, but you cannot send or reply from a Mailiffy address.
Why didn’t my email arrive?
Some websites block disposable email domains, and some senders take a few minutes to deliver. Check that you copied the full address, keep the page open (the inbox refreshes every 5 seconds), and make sure the timer has not run out. Mail sent after an inbox is deleted is discarded.
Can I use it for verification codes?
Yes, receiving one-time codes and confirmation links is a common use. Just don’t use a temporary address for any account you may need to recover later, because once the inbox is deleted you can’t get it back.
Is using a temporary email legal?
Using a temporary email address to protect your privacy is legal in most places. Using it to commit fraud, abuse, or break another service’s terms is not allowed under our terms of use.
Does Mailiffy track me?
We do not use advertising trackers or analytics scripts. Your inbox key is stored in your own browser so a page refresh keeps your inbox, and external images in emails are blocked to prevent sender tracking pixels.
Can someone else read my inbox?
Reading an inbox requires the secret key stored in your browser. However, anyone who guesses or knows your address can send mail to it, so treat it as a public, temporary mailbox.
